Belleview Park Playdate

Today was another playdate, but this time at Belleview Park in Englewood (south of Denver).  John was able to take a break from writing papers and come with Johnny and me, which was really nice.  He's been sort of MIA lately due to finals.  We met up with my friend Jenny and her daughter Lauren and met another mom from the area named Sarah and her two little girls.  The park is really awesome - I just wish it was closer to us!  There was a winding stream with sand on the sides all the way through this huge park where the kids could wade and play.  There were several playgrounds and picnic areasTons of green treesA train drove around the park and you could buy tickets for $1.50 each; Johnny really enjoyed that.  They also had a petting zoo where you could buy tickets for $1.50 each and pet a bunch of farm animals (note to self: wear shoes instead of flip flops next time).  Johnny actually surprised me and would go up and pet the animals on his own.  The only ones he was nervous about were the chickens.  We spent a lot of time playing in the stream and digging in the sand.  It was a really fun park and a fun playdate and I'm sure we'll try and go back to that park again in the near future.  It was a really nice day - warm but also breezy!  Perfect day for a playdate.

He loved the iguana!

The turtles' names were Bubba & Toby.

Upset because daddy told him not to throw sand on people.

Yes, that is an iced green tea latte. It has been months since he had one. It is mainly green tea and milk. Don't judge. :)
