Happy Birthday Grandpa Joe!

(Easter 2009)

Today is my grandpa Joe's 72nd birthday - I just want to wish him a very happy Birthday!! :)  I am blessed to still have him in my life, and Johnny is very very lucky to have his great-grandfather in his life as well.  We are looking forward to seeing him when we drive back home to WA state for Christmas in less than two weeks!!! My grandpa retired from the Air Force after a full career of serving his country - including serving as a B52 gunner during the Vietnam War.  After retiring from the Air Force, he started working as a Postal Worker for another full career of service until he retired a couple of years ago.  You'd think after two full careers and after two retirements, he'd be relaxing, but he holds down a part time job or two to keep himself busy. :)  He is an avid fisherman, hunter, and all-around outdoor enthusiast.  He has also been known to play a video/computer game or two. ;)  He has survived a heart attack, hernias, and open heart surgery.  He is a strongly religious and loving family man.  He has a great many things to be proud of accomplishing over the past 72 years of life, and I'm sure the rest of my family would agree with me - he deserves to have an extraordinary birthday! :)  Happy Birthday, grandpa - we love you!
